Working for you
The Clyst Valley Regional Park is a new breathing space for the growing community of Exeter and East Devon.
It is an area of land centred on the River Clyst and its tributaries that is protected through Strategy 10 of East Devon District Council’s Local Plan. Much of the National Trust’s Killerton estate lies within the Regional Park, and provides access for the public to gems such as Killerton House, Ashclyst Forest and Danes Wood. The warm yellow colour of the cottages at Broadclyst are a distinctive feature.
In the middle of the Regional Park is the new town of Cranbrook, Exeter Airport and major employment centres such as Sky Park, Exeter Logistics Park, and Exeter Science Park. Further south, Westpoint is the home of the Devon County Show, and Sandy Park is the home of 2020 European Rugby Champions the Exeter Chiefs.
At the historic town of Topsham, the River Clyst meets the Exe Estuary. At Dart’s Farm, you can enjoy high quality food and drink produced locally, experience the spectacle of avocets from bird hides at RSPB Bowling Green Marsh and hire a bike to cycle to Exmouth.
EDDC and our supporting partners have set out a number of objectives for the Regional Park in an award-winning 25 year masterplan.
